On Thursday, April 10th, the project Pepita, my first guitar was presented at the Palacio del Portalet in Alicante.
The project was introduced as part of the Master’s Program in Spanish Guitar Performance organized by the University of Alicante, directed by guitarist and professor Ignacio Rodes, to whom we are deeply grateful for his dedication and the opportunity he has given us.
The event brought together students from the master’s program — including Sohta Nakabayashi, winner of CIGA-Jr 2022 and finalist of CIGA 2024 — along with teachers from various music schools and conservatories throughout the province of Alicante. It was a valuable occasion to share experiences and exchange ideas on how to improve the pedagogy of early guitar education.
We would especially like to thank the participation of teachers from Alicante, Altea, San Vicente del Raspeig, Novelda, Castalla, Elche, and other cities in the province.
