Mario Pino Mateos, winner of CIGA-Jr 2024, was at the Texas International Guitar Competition in Dallas giving a magnificent concert.
There, together with James Wilder, Artistic Director of the Festival, he met Sohta Nakabayashi, winner of CIGA-Jr 2022 and winner of UTD-2024. Sohta gave a concert and a masterclass for competitors.
During the Festival, UTD paid tribute to the late Professor Enric Madriguera, co-founder of the Texas Guitar Competition and Festival. On this occasion and to honour his memory Luthier Javier Mengual and Alhambra donated a guitar in his honour to UTD. Professor Enric Madriguera participated as a member of the CIGA-Jr Jury at the 2022 Edition in Valencia.
